Hongwu: I reduced taxes, which made many, many people pleased with me being the ruler.
Q: Did people consider you a good emperor?
Hongwu: Yes. I did everything a ruler should; lower taxes which lifted a lot of weight of people. I also revived Chinese values and practices, which was a great thing for the Ming Dynasty.
Q: Did you have a lot of power compared to everyone?
Hongwu: I had a lot of power and kept increasing my power by getting rid of some high-level officials.
Q; Did you have any problems while you were ruling?
Hongwu: No, I had no problems or issues. I ruled the ming Empire better than any other emperor before me.

Qianlong Interview:

Q: Were you good at expanding the empire and conquering more land?
Qianlong: Yes I was very good at expanding the empire.
Q: What did you do about the Ming rule of isolation when you were emperor?
Qianlong: I kept the rule of isolation. I did not want other countries to be taking our goods, agriculture, food, clothing, and other new advances and that resulting in them being better then we are.
Q: Did you trade with anyone?
Qianlong: We traded with only certain foreigners but it was very uncommon to do it a lot because we did not want to take any risks.
Q: Did people like you as a ruler?

Qianlong: Most people thought I was a good ruler. I expanded and made the empire as big as I could and the empire reached it's height under my ruling.
